He noted that the private sector has become a key partner in this growth, with its contribution to GDP rising from 40% in 2016 to 51% currently, with the goal of raising this percentage to 65% by 2030.<\/p>\n

Market Access for Investors<\/span><\/h4>\n

During his meeting with private sector representatives in Riyadh, as part of an event organized by the Council of Saudi Chambers, Al-Falih explained that the Ministry of Investment is working to open up the market to local and international investors by concluding investment protection agreements with a number of countries, thereby opening up opportunities for Saudi companies to expand both within and outside the Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The minister revealed that the number of international companies using Riyadh as their regional headquarters is expected to rise to 700 by the end of this year, up from the current 670, reflecting the attractiveness of the Saudi business environment.<\/p>\n

Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding<\/span><\/h4>\n

The meeting included the signing of a trilateral memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Investment, the Council of Saudi Chambers, and the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority, aimed at coordinating efforts between the public and private sectors to strengthen economic and investment cooperation with countries around the world.<\/p>\n

The memorandum provides for the formation of a joint working group to identify the challenges facing local and international investors, and to organize workshops and coordination meetings with the relevant authorities.K<\/p>\n

This includes cooperation in the governance, development, and marketing of investment opportunities; the exchange of information and data on events and investors; and enabling the private sector to participate in the development of policies and regulations.<\/p>\n

The agreement also covers areas such as digital harmonization and electronic connectivity among agencies, as well as the Kingdom\u2019s representation in economic forums at the local and international levels, thereby strengthening its position as a global investment destination.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
