The Ministry of Housing intends to award all its projects of housing units in major cities to urban development companies to start implementing them according to the highest international standards. An official source at the ministry told Al-Madina that more than 20 urban development companies bought the competition brochures from the Ministry of Housing to submit their offers during the next month to implement 1,000 housing units as the beginning of its series of housing unit projects.
\nThe ministry also set November 23 as the date for verifying the submitted materials according to the minimum design standards and restrictions on the basic stages of the project outlined in the framework agreement for real estate development companies, and on December 7 to enable real estate development companies to communicate with the first batch of beneficiaries, while December 14 was set as the end of the marketing period for beneficiaries and signing real estate development agreements, and February 15 next year as the date for the ministry to hand over the lands to real estate development companies under a handover report.
\nThe ministry is working on housing projects in all regions of the Kingdom, where work continues on 62 projects under implementation, with a total of more than 73,000 housing units, while the ministry has received 11 of them, and the ministry continues to complete 82 projects under design to build more than 131,000 housing units, and there are about 21 projects under offer, where about 6 projects will be offered in the Makkah region.
