\n The Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing a great boom in the field of real estate investment, as recent statistics revealed that the Bahrain Investors Center registered 109 new real estate companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the past year, an increase of approximately 182%, with total capital exceeding 35 million dinars, of which local investment accounted for 59%, while foreign and Gulf capital amounted to 14.3 million dinars.
\nStatistics show that a number of the companies that have been established are owned by major real estate development companies, including three companies affiliated with Diyar Al Muharraq, WGC37 Properties, the largest of the registered companies, and a real estate company owned by Ahli United Bank.
\nBahrain Investors Center data shows that 109 companies operating in the real estate sector were registered last year, an increase of 182% compared to 2012, which witnessed the registration of 60 real estate companies at the time, and higher than the number of companies registered in 2011, which amounted to 53 companies in that period.
\nIn terms of the capital value of registered real estate companies, the total capital of registered real estate companies in 2013 amounted to approximately 35.1 million dinars, which is about 6% less than the capital value of registered companies in 2012, which amounted to 37.4 million dinars.
\nFigures from the Investors Center show that the volume of local investment (individual or legal) in real estate companies registered last year amounted to about 20.8 million dinars, equivalent to 59.2% of the total capital of these companies, while the volume of Gulf capital amounted to about 1.75 million dinars, representing 5%, while foreign capital amounted to 12.6 million dinars, representing 35.8%.
