Housing Minister Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail emphasized the need to establish the Housing Data and Information Center, which the Ministry plans to create, including a comprehensive database on the sector, which currently suffers from a lack of accurate information, as it aims to provide accurate indicators for the housing market that will contribute to the market\u2019s maturity and serve all its stakeholders\u2014citizens, the private sector, and investors. He also reaffirmed the Ministry\u2019s support for the developer sector and its efforts to incentivize developers through the Developer Services Center, in addition to regulating off-plan sales. Al-Haqil highlighted the Ministry\u2019s efforts to establish investment arms to contribute to serving the sector, as well as to activate the owners\u2019 councils system, which aims to regulate the management of buildings and residential complexes\u2014including operations, maintenance, and facilities management, among other tasks.<\/p>\n
As for the budget for fiscal year 37\u20131438 AH \/ Al-Hogail affirmed that the general state budget has demonstrated that the Saudi economy\u2014by the grace of Allah, the Almighty, and thanks to the wise policies of the enlightened leadership, may Allah support them\u2014possesses the capabilities to overcome economic challenges in all their forms, including the sharp decline in oil prices on global markets and instability in some countries. The budget also affirmed that none of these challenges will prevent the Kingdom from moving forward with its comprehensive, integrated, and balanced development project.<\/p>\n
