A report by the Jordan Land Department revealed that the volume of real estate trading in Jordan increased by 18 percent in the first half of this year, driven by a rise in sales of apartments and land to non-Jordanian investors. The monthly report by the Jordan Land and Survey Department showed that the volume of trading during the first half of this year reached 2.3 billion dinars, compared to 1.9 billion dinars in the same period last year. The market value of land sales to non-Jordanian investors during the first half of this year reached 148.5 million dinars, compared to 35.24 million dinars in the same period last year. Iraqis ranked first among foreign investors in the real estate sector with an investment volume of 92.8 million dinars, followed by Saudis with an investment volume of 8.65 million dinars, then Lebanese citizenship with an investment volume of 7.5 million dinars.
