His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, and His Excellency Nicolas Forissier, French Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade and Investment, opened the proceedings yesterday of Saudi-French Business Forum A<\/a><\/strong>which Riyadh is hosting over the course of three days.<\/p>\n

In his opening remarks, His Excellency Al-Qasabi emphasized the Kingdom\u2019s commitment to strengthening relations and partnerships with the Republic of France\u2014relationships built on a foundation of mutual respect\u2014and to enhancing trade cooperation and developing joint economic opportunities.<\/p>\n

The forum saw the participation of more than 230 leading Saudi and French companies to explore opportunities for cooperation and develop business partnerships in the fields of: smart cities, sports, culture, and advanced technology, as well as strengthening economic and investment ties between the two friendly nations.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the volume of trade between the two countries reached approximately $48 billion, with boilers, machinery, equipment, and automated tools, as well as aircraft and spacecraft, ranking among the top Saudi exports, while boilers, machinery, equipment, and automated tools, as well as pharmaceutical products, were the leading French imports.
