In addition, reports revealed that the occupancy rate for residential facilities in Makkah reached 90% due to high demand during the Umrah season and the mid-year school break in the central region and surrounding areas, prompting experts in the hotel sector to confirm that the real estate market in Makkah has maintained strong seasonal demand, which is driving the expansion of hotel facilities, particularly in strategic areas near the Sacred Mosque.<\/p>\n
For his part, an official at one of the major hotels in the central region explained that growing demand, which is in line with supply, is raising the occupancy rate to 100% during peak times, noting that reasonable and competitive pricing is driving the market\u2019s recovery. He added that room rates rise depending on how close the facility is to the campus.<\/p>\n
