King Saud University concluded its third session and the accompanying exhibition today in the presence of the Acting President of the University, Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Mesmali, and a group of Their Highnesses, academic leaders, experts and specialists in urban planning and architecture, in an event that embodied a distinguished scientific and professional presence.<\/p>\n<p>The vice chairman of the board of directors of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/89704\/\">Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdulaziz Award<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/89704\/\"> Aiya<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/89704\/\">\u0641<\/a><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/89704\/\"> To humanize<\/a><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> Cities <\/span><\/strong>The Dean of the College of Architecture and Planning, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Jarallah Al-Dughaisham, said that the concept of \u201cHumanizing Cities\u201d represents a major urban axis that returns the human being to the center of the planning process, and looks forward to a future of more quality and sustainable cities, in line with the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that the award has become an effective national platform that supports the urban sector with applied research and innovative ideas that enhance the human identity of Saudi cities, highlighting its role in discovering research talents and enabling qualitative projects capable of providing practical solutions to city issues.<\/p>\n<p>He also appreciated King Saud University's continuous support for this scientific track that contributes to improving the quality of life and raising the level of urban efficiency, stressing that the third edition witnessed wide participation from various Saudi universities, reflecting the high awareness of humanization and sustainability issues, while praising the efforts of the jury committees that worked according to precise criteria to evaluate the competing works.<\/p>\n<p>The award announced the victory of a research team in the first branch consisting of: Dr. Faisal bin Sultan Al-Usaimi, Dr. Sultan bin Nasser Al-Faridi, Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Faqir Hussein, Dr. Rami Zain Al-Abidin Yousef Zain Al-Abidin, and Dr. Ahmed Salah Abdrabah Al-Sayed for an applied study on the humanization of urban neighborhoods: A Case Study of Al-Falah Neighborhood Project in Riyadh.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ahmed Al-Sayel won the Graduate Student Award for his thesis entitled Humanizing City Marketing Policies in a Centralized Governance Environment: Saudi Arabia's Experience under Vision 2030, while Dana bint Zaid Al-Ghanam (King Saud University) and Naif bin Fahd Al-Shammari (Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University) shared the Third Branch Undergraduate Student Award for two projects dealing with the development of medium city centers and heritage towns.<\/p>\n<p>As for the research grants branch, it was jointly awarded to Engineer Fahad bin Daham Al Odaila for a research project on the role of public transport-oriented development (TOD) stations in humanizing the city of Riyadh, and Amani bint Abdullah Abu Zahra for a project that focuses on community participation within the framework of humanizing cities and quality of life: Towards an Autism Friendly City.<\/p>\n<p>The winners of the Urban Studio Initiative were also honored, which provided an opportunity to showcase quality projects that reflect intellectual maturity and design excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Participants presented innovative works in designing and improving arterial streets, based on contemporary architectural visions that take into account the needs of daily human use and address urban challenges in practical and applicable ways.<\/p>\n<p>The projects demonstrated an advanced level of design awareness and the ability to transform theoretical concepts into realistic models that contribute to raising the quality of life and improving the urban landscape.<\/p>\n<p>The award recognizes the outstanding efforts and creative contributions made by the participants in developing innovative urban solutions that contribute to building more humane and sustainable cities.<\/p>\n<p>The top three places were won by students from King Saud University, Yamama University, and Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, in addition to a wide participation from a number of Saudi universities, including: Umm Al-Qura University, Dar Al Uloom University, Prince Sultan University, King Abdulaziz University, Qassim University, and Majmaa University.<br \/>\nThe exhibition accompanying the award ceremony showcased the winning and participating projects, providing a platform to highlight pioneering ideas and innovative models that
