The organizing committee of Absher 2025 held a comprehensive introductory meeting at the Ministry of Interior's Dome, which was attended by representatives of partner government entities and international and local companies participating in the conference.
\nAt the beginning of the meeting, the organizing committee explained that the Absher 2025 conference, which is under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior, is comprehensive and focuses on promoting the technological development that the Kingdom is experiencing, and showcases the latest innovations in this field, and makes one of its main objectives to spread technical knowledge and expand the positive impact to include all regions of the Kingdom, as well as a quality knowledge and scientific initiative, represented by the Absher Twiq initiative, the largest hackathon of its kind, and the conference sessions and accompanying exhibition that will start on December 18 with the participation of a number of companies (NVIDIA, Meta, GoogleCloud, and Huawei.
\nThe Deputy Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, Engineer Thamer bin Mohammed Al-Harbi, explained, The Absher 2025 conference, as the first of its kind in its comprehensiveness, comes as a national event organized by the Ministry of Interior and in partnership with Tuwaiq Academy, representing a joint action consistent with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and our aspiration for a technological future in which our country is a leader in all scientific and technical innovations. The conference, sponsored by Elm Company, will include more than 60 dialogue sessions and keynote speeches, in addition to 80 accompanying workshops, and the conference will include more than 10 interactive areas, and the number of people registered for the conference to date reached nearly 20,000 people.
\nFor his part, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al-Hammadi, CEO of Tuwaiq Academy and member of the organizing committee of the Absher Conference, said: The Absher Tuwaiq initiative was launched in 16 cities to empower 100,000+ beneficiaries in all regions of the Kingdom, through 7 technical tracks, more than 1,200 educational hours, and the largest hackathon in digital government solutions, with the participation of more than 3,000 male and female participants, competing in quality tracks that include: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Identity, Internet of Things, and Absher Services Innovation, with prizes of up to one million Saudi Riyals: Artificial Intelligence, Digital Identity, Internet of Things, and Absher Services Innovation, with prizes of up to one million Saudi riyals and more than 250 professional programs.
\nThe Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) spokesperson, Majid Al-Shehri, delivered a speech in which he spoke about SDAIA's role in supporting digital transformation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the extended strategic partnership with the Ministry of Interior, in enabling emerging technologies through national digital solutions highlighted at the Absher conference, and empowering capabilities in the fields of artificial intelligence and data science through the Absher Tawiq initiative, in professional programs provided by major international organizations.
\nAbdulwahab Al-Badah, Director General of Media at the Digital Government Authority, spoke about consolidating the concept of digitization, promoting integration in adopting national digital solutions, and providing citizen- and resident-centric services, and the Absher conference confirms the Kingdom's global leadership in the field of digitization.
\nKhalid Al-Mutawa, Director General of Entrepreneurship at the National Program for the Development of Information Technology (NTDP), spoke about the program's support for the Absher conference through enabling the digital economy, adopting emerging digital solutions and innovations, and the Absher Tuwaiq Hackathon, which contributes to building effective digital solutions through several tracks.
\nThe meeting was attended by a group of local and international partners who contribute to supporting its technical tracks and empowering national talents, led by OffSec and Holberton, in qualitative partnerships that reflect global confidence in the Kingdom's digital transformation system; in this context, OffSec's Chief Revenue Officer, Mr. Matt Kintsen, said: \u201cWe are proud to partner and contribute to Absher 2025, an event that brings together leaders in security, technology and government services to build a secure technological future. We are also pleased to partner with Tuwaiq Academy and launch the first strategic collaboration in the Middle East for professional certifications within the Academy's programs, and we look forward to the success of this qualitative partnership.\u201d.
\nFlorian Bucher, CEO of Holberton, said: \u201cWe are pleased to be among the partners of this event, which is the first of its kind in technology for the government sector in Saudi Arabia. We at Holberton emphasize our belief in supporting and honing the skills of Saudi youth in coding and the technical sector, and helping them build innovative solutions and smart platforms using the latest global technologies.\u201d.
\nThe meeting witnessed a visual presentation that showcased the most prominent figures, activities, technical tracks, and events accompanying the conference, and concluded with a question and answer session, as well as interventions by a number of local and international partners.
\nIt is noteworthy that the accompanying Absher 2025 conference activities were launched as early as November 30, with the Absher Tuwaiq initiative, the launch of the largest hackathon in digital government solutions with prizes of up to one million Saudi riyals, and a number of qualitative technical tracks that confirm the Ministry of Interior's adoption of innovative digital solutions, contribute to improving the quality of life, and enhance integration between government and private entities.<\/p>\n
