His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Eastern Province, today sponsored the signing of the agreement for the development of the \u201cAjdan Island\u201d tourism project on Khobar Corniche, in partnership between the Tourism Development Fund, the Eastern Province Municipality and Ajdan Real Estate Development, with a total value of more than 300 million riyals, in the presence of HE Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tourism Development Fund Mr. Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khatib, and a number of officials.
\nHH the Emir of Eastern Province praised the great support and attention given to tourism in the Kingdom by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which contributed to enhancing the status of the tourism sector and its role in national development, pointing out the importance of cooperation between the relevant authorities and unifying efforts to develop tourism projects and raise the quality of services, in order to enhance the development of the region and invest in its tourism assets to support the national economy and create job opportunities for the sons and daughters of the region.
\nHis Excellency the Secretary of the Eastern Province, Eng. Fahad Al-Jubeir, emphasized that this project is one of the investment projects with the Municipality of the region and will have a great and direct impact on tourism, which will contribute to creating job opportunities, and this distinguished project will be added to the tourist destinations in Al-Khobar Governorate.
\nQusay bin Abdullah Al Fakhri, CEO of the Tourism Development Fund, expressed the Fund's pride in the partnership, stressing that developing waterfronts and revitalizing national landmarks contributes to improving the quality of life and attracting more tourism investments.
\nHe explained that the \u201cAjdan Island\u201d project represents a model of cooperation between the public and private sectors, an ongoing support for the efforts of the tourism system in enabling new destinations that meet the aspirations of residents and visitors, and confirms the Fund's commitment to achieving the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in diversifying the economy and increasing the contribution of tourism to GDP.
\nThe project aims to develop the Khobar Water Tower area into an integrated tourist destination that includes restaurants with international brands, cafes with sea views, entertainment spaces and an integrated commercial area, in addition to a restaurant with a panoramic view of the city of Khobar, with a total value of more than 300 million riyals, to enhance the Fund's portfolio of projects in the Eastern Province, which exceeded 12.7 billion riyals.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
