of Qassim inaugurates 10 road projects in the region at a cost of 349 million riyals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Meshal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz inaugurated <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qassim.gov.sa\/ar\/Pages\/default.aspx\">Qassim region<\/a><\/strong>Yesterday, in the presence of His Highness Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad, Deputy Emir of the region, and HE Minister of Transport and Logistics Engineer Saleh Al Jasser, (10) vital road projects in the region, at a total cost of (349) million riyals, with a total length of (406) kilometers.<br \/>\nDuring the ceremony, which was held at the Foundation Hall at the Emirate Office in Buraydah, HH the Emir of Qassim was briefed on the inaugurated projects, which included completing the implementation of part of the Rass\/Dhariyah\/Afif road with a length of (26 km, implementing the doubling of Shamasiyah Road to King Fahd Highway with a length of (16 km, implementing the intersection of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Road with the southwest ring road in Buraydah with a length of (7 km, implementing the doubling of the Rass\/Qasr bin Akil\/Nabhaniyah road with a length of (8 km, in addition to implementing a bridge for passing wadi water, among other projects.<br \/>\nThe projects included repairing damaged sites on King Fahd Road and Qassim\/Hail Road with a length of 88 km, Qassim\/Madinah Road with a length of 196 km, Riyadh\/Qassim Road with a length of 45 km, and repairing damaged sites on Riyadh\/Qassim\/Madinah Road with a length of 20 km, in addition to repairing damaged sites on Riyadh\/Qassim\/Madinah Road with a length of 20 km.<br \/>\nThe works also included the maintenance of bridges and the replacement of metal tubular ferries with concrete box ferries, with the aim of enhancing traffic safety and keeping pace with the increasing demand on the road network, and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic in the region.<br \/>\nHH the Emir of Qassim expressed his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership for the generous and unlimited support for the implementation of development projects in the region, stressing that they reflect the generous support and great attention it pays to the development of all regions of the Kingdom to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to improve the quality of life and promote sustainable development, praising the efforts of the transportation and logistics system and the distinguished services it provides that contribute to the promotion of comprehensive development.<br \/>\nHis Highness explained that the road projects contribute to enhancing connectivity between the Qassim region and neighboring regions, serve the holy sites, improve the experience of the pilgrims passing through these roads, and enhance the importance of the region's position in the logistics sector.<br \/>\nFor his part, HE Al-Jasser stressed that these projects are an extension of the support of the wise leadership to the transport and logistics sector, and that the inaugurated road projects will contribute to enhancing mobility in the Qassim region and serving its visitors, pointing out that these projects are part of the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics, launched by His Highness the Crown Prince - may God protect him - and aim to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics center, as they have been implemented according to the highest safety and quality standards and the Saudi Road Code standards.<br \/>\nHis Excellency pointed out that the projects will contribute to supporting the road network enjoyed by the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/87196\/\">Qassim<\/a><\/strong>He revealed that the transportation and logistics system continues its efforts to upgrade the road network and all modes of transportation, which is one of the most important national capabilities contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's
