Roads<\/a><\/strong>in collaboration with (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nhc.sa\/\">NHC<\/a><\/strong>), has announced a major initiative to transform the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/90337\/\">Demolition debris<\/a><\/strong> into construction materials and reuse them for asphalt work on roads within the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amlak.net.sa\/en\/86096\/\">Cavalry destination<\/a> <\/strong>Northeast of Riyadh, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties, in a move that embodies institutional integration to promote sustainability practices and raise the efficiency of roads in residential projects.<\/p>\n<p>The Roads Authority explained that the initiative succeeded in transforming an environmental challenge in Al Forsan destination into a value-added opportunity by utilizing the demolition waste products of the buildings located within the scope of the project, and recycling them to be used as base materials in the asphalt of the suburban roads, pointing out that the initiative contributed to the collection of approximately 350,000 m3 of these materials, supporting national trends towards building sustainable infrastructure, promoting circular economy practices and increasing the efficiency of resource use.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative comes within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that KDIPA signed with NHC on the sidelines of Cityscape Global to enhance cooperation and exchange experiences in the road sector, which included recycling construction waste and old asphalt for use in asphalt layers, and exchanging innovative ideas and initiatives that contribute to the implementation and maintenance of roads with sustainable materials.<\/p>\n<p>It is noteworthy that the General Authority for Roads is keen to hold effective partnerships with local and international entities to raise the efficiency and performance of the road sector, improve the level of safety and infrastructure, based on its supervisory role in the sector, and seek to achieve the objectives of the road sector program that focuses on safety, quality, and traffic density, to reach the sixth place globally in the road quality index and reduce deaths to less than 5 cases per 100,000 people by
