The Minister of Investment Engineer Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih<\/a> The Kingdom has become one of the most attractive destinations for global investments.<\/p>\n

He pointed to the directives of His Highness the Crown Prince, may God protect him, which aim to facilitate the empowerment of multinational companies in the Kingdom, where the number of international companies with licenses to do business in the Kingdom has reached about 700 companies, while facilitating the operations of international institutions and organizations such as the United Nations.<\/p>\n

Future Investment Initiative Conference\u201c<\/span><\/h4>\n

Participating in a panel discussion titled \u201cWill the GCC become a global hub for family offices?\u201d at the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference, Al Falih emphasized that the Kingdom is implementing a strategic plan to make its environment one of the most competitive for family businesses, contributing to their growth and prosperity.<\/p>\n

Saudi Arabia enjoys a stable legislative and investment environment<\/span><\/h4>\n

He added that the Kingdom enjoys a stable legislative and investment environment, which makes it an attractive region for investment, and is constantly seeking to develop these legislations and make them more flexible and transparent, noting that licenses are now granted more quickly, which contributes to facilitating business for family businesses and enhancing their ability to grow.<\/p>\n

Al-Falih explained that the national economy, which was built nearly 100 years ago on family businesses, is still fundamentally dependent on them, and the ministry continues to work to further empower these companies, noting that the market value of the Saudi capital market reaches about 3 trillion dollars and is expected to increase by 20% in the next seven years, reflecting the strength and diversity of the Saudi economy.<\/p>\n

Former UK investment minister Gerry Grimstone praised the country's unique location, saying that VCs play an important role in the economy.<\/p>\n

Family business<\/span><\/h4>\n
