The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has launched the second phase of the \u201cBuilding Compliance Certificate<\/a><\/strong>\u201cAs part of its ongoing efforts to improve the quality of the urban landscape in the Kingdom's cities, and to organize the urban environment according to clear standards that contribute to reducing visual distortion and achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in improving the quality of life and enhancing compliance with urban regulations.
The ministry explained that the second phase includes a package of executive measures that include listing the targeted new buildings and linking them to the geographical explorer, and giving building owners a corrective period of six months from the date of issuing the decision, to fulfill the requirements for obtaining a certificate of compliance, which is issued free of charge and according to easy requirements that include specific road axes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The results of the first phase of the initiative reflected a tangible positive impact on the level of compliance and improving the general appearance of buildings, as the number of buildings targeted to issue a certificate of compliance reached 95,835 buildings, achieving a completion rate of 100% of the target, while the number of applications submitted for issuing the certificate exceeded 102,708 applications, indicating that more than 175,000 supervisory visits were carried out to follow up compliance with the approved requirements and standards.The Ministry added that the Building Compliance Certificate represents an effective regulatory tool that contributes to raising the quality of implementation, enhancing the reliability of projects, unifying regulatory procedures among the secretariats, and improving the level of institutional coordination, stressing that the necessary measures will be applied against non-compliant buildings after the expiration of the corrective period, noting that the validity of the certificate extends for three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing emphasized that the Building Compliance Certificate<\/a><\/strong> It is one of the pillars supporting sustainable urban maturity and contributes to building an organized and safe urban environment that reflects the Kingdom's urban identity, calling on building owners and investors to interact and adhere to the requirements of the certificate, in order to enhance the quality of the urban landscape and keep pace with the aspirations of comprehensive development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
