I was on a visit to the French capital, Paris, recently, and I wandered through its historic old streets and carefully examined its ancient buildings that resist time and stand strong and proud. Despite the history that envelops the place, as if you were watching an ancient Greek movie, the fingers of time could not tamper with the face of the city, which sees in every corner of its corners the vitality of youth and sometimes its impetuousness. As you walk through the streets of Paris, you feel that you are wandering inside a large museum created by great artists, with unparalleled perfection, all places reek of history, civilization, architectural renaissance, and fine art.

A city of only 3 million inhabitants, with millions of employees coming from all over France to work during the day, is in constant motion in the morning, and in the evening it is ready with lights and a dreamy atmosphere for Parisians and tourists to spend a peaceful evening in its shops on the Seine River.

At rush hour, you may find heavy traffic, but this is matched by the awareness of the French, and visitors from other communities, who are accustomed to order, discipline and respect for traffic etiquette.

At rush hour, you may find heavy traffic, but this is matched by complete discipline.

During my visit to the Eiffel Tower, I found one of the signs hanging on the last floor on the wall of the tower that I felt proud of, which indicates that Burj Khalifa is the highest in the world, a towering structure that exceeds 828 meters in height.

We Arabs have surpassed us and built the highest tower in the world, and the millions of tourists who visit the Eiffel Tower annually, which is said to exceed 12 million tourists, see with their eyes pictures of the highest towers in the world, topped by the Burj Khalifa, truly what a great Dubai that restores the glories of the Arabs, and restores the history of the pharaohs who led the world by building the pyramid that remained for many centuries the highest buildings in the entire world.

In Paris, I found civilization and history, while in Dubai, in addition to Arab originality, I found luxury, decent living and 200 nationalities living in comfort and safety. Truly Dubai is a citadel of luxury, a large house of pride, an oasis of security and safety, a history made with calm and balanced steps, and the voice of the Arabs beating towards the future.
