The Ministry of Housing revealed that it is working during the current year 2020 to make 180 plans available through the «Sakani» platform and deliver 90,000 new residential lands. This came during the «Ministry of Housing Forum 2020» ceremony, which was held in Riyadh recently, under the patronage and presence of Majid Al-Hogail, Minister of Housing.
During the forum, Dr. Meshal Al-Shammari, economic advisor in the «Housing" program, confirmed that the total investment in the housing sector rose to 295 billion riyals as direct investment from the private sector, and Dr. Al-Shammari added: "The program aspires in 2020 to create a direct and indirect impact of about 73.9 billion riyals, to enhance the local content of housing products by 63.5 percent, and to develop private investment in housing projects by 187.7 billion riyals, part of which is investment in construction technologies and developing the real estate market through automation of the sector and facilitating procedures and incentive policies that positively affect the business environment."
He pointed out that the housing program contributed to stimulating the real estate sector, which is the third largest sector stimulating economic growth in the Kingdom, with a contribution of 10 percent of real GDP and a growth of 4 percent.
