Acting Emir of Makkah, HRH Prince Abdullah bin Bandar, held a meeting at the Emirate's headquarters in Jeddah in the presence of Housing Minister Majid Al-Hogail, during which the ministry's future plans in the region were reviewed, and mechanisms were explained to speed up the work of the secretariats regarding the approval of residential plans within the urban area in cities and governorates, a step that precedes the handover of sites to housing in preparation for their transformation into various housing products to benefit the people of the region and its governorates.

Expansion of Ministry projects

The expanded meeting, which was attended by the governors of the Holy Capital and Jeddah, discussed developing ways and mechanisms of cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and the secretariats in order to expand the Ministry's projects and diversify its products in Makkah and Jeddah to ensure the suitability of the beneficiaries" desires.

Development of Al Bayda Center

The Acting Emir of Makkah was briefed on the objectives and vision of the Al-Bayda Center Development Project, which is implemented by Al-Bayda Development Company with the participation of several sectors, after it was launched by HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, and its implementation is supervised by the Emirate of Makkah, The project aims to settle families in a model village that provides a decent life for them and their families, and at the same time establish an economic, social, environmental and cultural base for them based on rehabilitating them and providing them with various craft skills, securing their livelihoods and providing them with various sources of income.

Development and Cooperative Housing

His Highness listened to an explanation of the developmental housing initiative, which aims to provide housing for the people of the region from classified categories, such as social security beneficiaries, as the initiative aims to address all issues related to the housing sector by diversifying programs and initiatives that target all segments, including the low-income group, It is based on two programs, the first is "Affordable Housing", which aims to provide suitable housing for social security beneficiaries and those who do not meet the conditions for obtaining housing for a fee, and the second is "Cooperative Housing", which aims to support the establishment of cooperative housing associations that include homogeneous and special groups.
