The Ministry of Housing aims to provide housing support to all citizens in all categories, including widows, divorcees, orphans, low- and middle-income people, and is currently working on a set of programs and initiatives related to these groups to provide them with suitable housing, such as the Affordable Housing Program, in addition to the effective partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in this context.
Housing and the Kingdom's Vision 2030

The Ministry of Housing noted that its programs are in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasized the need to raise the ownership rate and enable citizens to obtain adequate housing with various options, high quality and affordable prices.
The ministry explained that the "Affordable Housing" program comes among the initiatives of the National Transformation Program 2020, which aims to achieve sustainable economic development that includes all sectors and fields, pointing out that the ministry started working on it as part of its efforts to provide appropriate housing for special cases such as widows, divorcees and orphans, in addition to a set of other programs that seek to balance between supply and demand in the housing market and encourage the participation of real estate development companies to increase the supply of housing units and develop government lands.
The ministry explained that the »Affordable Housing" program comes among the initiatives of the National Transformation Program 2020, which aims to achieve sustainable economic development that includes all sectors and fields.
Easy Housing Program
"The Affordable Housing Program is currently being worked on in preparation for its approval by the competent authorities, and we expect this program to achieve many positive results for the target groups, as well as an initiative at the Ministry of Labor and Social Development related to widows and orphans that was approved as part of the National Transformation Program, as it aims to provide housing units for these groups in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing as part of the ongoing partnership between the two parties, knowing that this initiative is an extension of the various programs that meet the needs of this group."
She said that the Ministry of Housing is working with non-profit sectors to coordinate and unify efforts to provide appropriate housing for different segments of society in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which urges to increase the participation of the non-profit sector from 1 percent to 5 percent of GDP, stressing that the Ministry is taking the necessary measures to ensure that citizens have access to housing. In addition to its continuous work to incentivize the private sector and build an effective partnership with citizens to enable them to obtain suitable housing within an appropriate period according to ownership paths that provide financing and savings solutions commensurate with their housing needs. The Ministry indicated that as part of its efforts to provide housing support for all groups, it is currently working on preparing and implementing a program to ensure support for citizens who are unable to pay the rent of housing, financed from what may be allocated in the state budget and from subsidies, gifts and endowments that are allocated for this, in addition to working to form a committee (or more) in each region or province to deal with cases where the tenant is a Saudi who is unable to pay the rent, in implementation of the decision of the Cabinet issued on 23 Ramadan 1437 AH.
