In its announcement of the ninth batch of the 2018 housing program, the Ministry of Housing revealed that more than 70,000 beneficiaries had registered for the options to purchase ready-built units from the market and to build their own homes, both of which were launched over the past two months, noting that work is currently underway to verify their eligibility in preparation for obtaining a subsidized loan from the most suitable financing entity.

The Ministry announced yesterday that 8,000 citizens have taken advantage of the recently introduced option to purchase ready-built housing units from the market, confirming that thousands of beneficiaries will continue to be announced on a monthly basis, noting that the launch of additional housing options meets beneficiaries“ needs by enabling them to secure suitable housing, reducing waiting times, and granting them the freedom to choose among available options, which will help raise the homeownership rate to 60% by 2020 in line with the targets of the Housing Program, one of the programs under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Ministry of Housing confirmed that registration for the two new options is conducted through the ”Sakani“ program through clear and easy steps that include personal information and housing unit details for those wishing to purchase units from the market, and land details for those who own land and have not previously benefited from ”Sakani.”
