Issue 103 poll. How will international real estate developers partnering with the Ministry of Housing affect the local market?

Posted in

There have been mixed reactions to the entry of international and foreign companies into the Saudi real estate development and construction sectors through contracts and agreements with the Ministry of Housing to construct more than 100,000 housing units in Riyadh, and forecasts suggest that partnerships with the foreign private sector will be further strengthened through a number of upcoming agreements, given the extensive expertise these companies possess in rapid construction, which will enable the Ministry to implement its strategy of building 1.5 million housing units over the next five years.

As usual, the newspaper “Amlak” stayed ahead of the curve and conducted a candid survey on the topic by posing the following questions:

Will the entry of foreign real estate development companies lead to:

Bringing global expertise to the local real estate market?

The exit of real estate and contracting companies from the market?

The creation of a new market for small businesses and subcontractors?

Stay tuned for Issue 103 of “Amlak.”
