The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz—may God protect him—reiterated that providing adequate housing for citizens and the means for a decent life are top priorities and a matter of personal concern to him, He made these remarks while receiving Minister of Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, senior ministry officials, and stakeholders in the housing sector from both the government and private sectors.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered a speech in which he said: “Your country, by the grace and blessing of God, is steadily advancing on the path of growth and development while adhering to and preserving its pure creed, and it will continue—by God’s will and strength — to build upon and complete this journey through a continuous pursuit of comprehensive and balanced development in all regions of the Kingdom.

Providing adequate housing for citizens and the means for a dignified life is one of our top priorities and a matter of personal concern to me. The regulations and decisions recently issued are aimed at this goal, as everyone is aware of the care and attention the state devotes to this sector and the massive budgets it has allocated for it.

The state has encouraged investment in this field and strengthened the role of the private sector as a partner complementing the government’s efforts to achieve this goal, It has also sought to strike a balance between supply and demand and to incentivize landowners to develop and invest in their land, thereby helping to meet the growing need for housing. In this regard, I would like to highlight the efforts being made by our colleagues at the Ministry of Housing, emphasizing the importance of the Ministry and the participating sectors continuing to strive to achieve the goals and plans set forth to provide adequate housing for our citizens.
