The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced that 8,427 Saudi families benefited from the services of housing support during January 2026 in various regions of the Kingdom, within the efforts of the “Sakani” program to enable Saudi families to own suitable housing and achieve the targets of the housing program (one of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 programs).<The Riyadh region accounted for 26% of the total beneficiary families, followed by the Makkah region with 18%, then the Eastern Province with 14%, while the proportions were distributed to the rest of the Kingdom's regions, confirming the wide range of benefit and the diversity of housing demand at the level of the regions.<The average daily execution of contracts for residential products during January reached 428 contracts per day, continuing the pace of housing empowerment and accelerating ownership procedures for eligible families.

The Ministry stressed that The “Residential” program continues to provide a comprehensive package of housing options, including ready-made units, units under construction within off-plan sales projects spread in most regions of the Kingdom, in addition to the option of self-build, and residential lands, providing various options to suit the needs and desires of families.

Partnership with real estate developers
She pointed out that the residential projects implemented in partnership with real estate developers, along with the financing solutions provided in integration with financing bodies and banks, have contributed to enhancing the housing supply and expanding ownership options, according to an integrated organizational system aimed at achieving sustainability in the sector.<The Ministry reported that the total contracts signed since the launch of the “Residential” program in 2017 until the end of January 2026 amounted to 1,016,886 contracts for beneficiaries in various regions of the Kingdom, reflecting the cumulative impact of the program in enabling Saudi families to own their homes.His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail had earlier announced that the homeownership rate among Saudi families will exceed 66.24% by the end of 2025, an indication of the progress achieved towards achieving the targets of the housing program, and enhancing the role of public-private partnership in supporting the housing market.
