His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Madinah Region, urged the new Board of Directors of the Madinah Chamber of Commerce to play a key role in implementing economic initiatives and translating them into concrete projects that contribute to creating more investment and employment opportunities, expressing his hope that they would draw on their experience and expertise to ensure the Chamber’s success and work as a unified team to strengthen its role in driving economic development. His Highness also expressed his gratitude to the members of the previous board for their contributions.
During his meeting with the Chamber’s chairman and board members at his office, His Highness also directed to focus on developing a state-of-the-art center to serve businesswomen, which would address the obstacles they face and serve as a link to all sectors, and for the Chamber to establish an incubator for young entrepreneurs and draw on successful experiences in this regard.
His Highness the Governor of the region noted the religious significance of Madinah, which has made it a major destination for pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors to the Mosque of the Prophet, peace be upon him, as well as its high priority in the agenda of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz —may God preserve him—which has contributed to giving the region a competitive edge in attracting more investments, particularly in the services sector, which is the largest employer of the workforce.
For his part, Munir Muhammad Nasser, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Madinah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Governor of the region for his support and guidance, affirming the Chamber’s commitment to working as a unified team and fulfilling the aspirations and initiatives of His Highness the Governor, noting that the Chamber has begun developing a strategic plan for its current term to serve the region’s business sector and strengthen the Chamber’s role in serving Madinah.
