Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has launched the Innovation Council, in a move aimed at institutionalizing innovation as an approach to develop the municipal and housing sectors and raise the efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries, in order to enhance the quality of life in the Kingdom's cities and governorates.<The launch of the Council is an extension of the Ministry's efforts to enhance integration between the components of its system and enable stakeholders to discuss priority challenges within a participatory framework, focusing on creating practical and implementable solutions, in line with the Ministry's objectives in <a href=“https://amlak” href="https://amlak.The Ministry explained that the "Innovation Council“ is a periodic council that includes relevant departments and a number of specialized experts, and aims to raise challenges, identify priorities, and exchange expertise and experiences, which contributes to accelerating the pace of development and raising the efficiency of institutional performance.<The council aims to promote a culture of innovation within the system, enable entities to anticipate challenges through flexible work mechanisms, activate partnerships, and expand the adoption of innovative solutions to support the development of more efficient and sustainable municipal and housing services.

The Ministry emphasized that the establishment of the council will contribute to developing work mechanisms, enhancing integration between entities, and supporting decision-making based on data and field data, thus increasing the effectiveness of solutions and turning challenges into viable development opportunities.It added that the Council will work to accelerate access to innovative solutions by gathering specialized expertise in a single working environment, enhancing the readiness of the municipal and housing sector to keep pace with future changes and increase the efficiency of response to development challenges.
