Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced that 32,983 Saudi families occupied their first home during the first quarter of 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to enable Saudi families to own suitable housing and provide various housing solutions to eligible families in various regions of the Kingdom.

The Ministry explained that the total number of families benefiting from housing support during the same period reached 23,222 Saudi families, reflecting the continued pace of housing empowerment and acceleration of ownership procedures, through an integrated system of financing and housing programs and solutions.The total subsidized contracts for beneficiaries since the launch of the Residential Program in 2017 until the end of the first quarter of 2026 amounted to 1,028,673 contracts for Saudi families in various regions of the Kingdom, reflecting the cumulative impact of the program in enhancing ownership opportunities and raising homeownership rates.
The Ministry pointed out that the Riyadh region accounted for the highest share of the total subsidized contracts with 273,856 contracts, followed by the Makkah region with 213,069 contracts, and the Eastern region with 163,455 contracts, reflecting the wide scope of benefit and growing housing demand in the main regions of the Kingdom.The program continues to offer a variety of housing solutions, including ready-made units, units under construction within the off-plan sales projects, in addition to the self-construction product and residential lands, providing multiple options that suit the needs and desires of Saudi families.
The ministry added that residential projects implemented in partnership with real estate developers, as well as financing solutions provided in integration with financing agencies and banks, have contributed to enhancing the housing supply and expanding the ownership base, within an integrated system that supports the growth and sustainability of the housing sector.

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing confirmed that it continues to enhance the housing supply and launch more projects and housing options in partnership with the private sector in various regions of the Kingdom, in order to meet the needs of Saudi families and balance the real estate market.
The Ministry pointed out that these efforts contributed to raising the rate of home ownership by Saudi families to 66.24% by the end of 2025, in continuous progress towards the goal of the housing program of Saudi Vision 2030 to reach 70%.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing said that the ownership rate of Saudi families is expected to increase to 70% by the end of the year 2025, a target that is part of the housing program, which is one of the programs of Saudi Vision 2030.
