His Excellency Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing, received in Riyadh, His Excellency the Minister of Local Administration and Environment of the Syrian Arab Republic, Engineer Muhammad Anjarani, in Riyadh, as part of an official visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of local administration and housing.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to develop municipal services, reviewed Saudi Arabia’s experience in digital transformation and municipal services, and discussed real estate policies and legislation, all of which contribute to supporting urban development and improving quality of life.
His Excellency Minister Al-Hogail affirmed that the Kingdom is keen to strengthen regional partnerships, exchange expertise, and support its brothers in construction and development, noting the Kingdom’s advanced models in digital transformation and urban management. The meeting included the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two sides, aimed at strengthening institutional cooperation and exchanging knowledge and expertise in the fields of urban planning, municipal services, and capacity building.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and activating areas of joint cooperation, thereby contributing to municipal work and promoting sustainable urban development, and reflecting the depth of the fraternal relations between the two sister nations.

During the meeting, they reviewed Saudi Arabia’s experience in regulating and governing the real estate sector, and ways to develop joint cooperation were discussed, in a spirit of integration that serves the development interests of the two brotherly countries.
