“Housing” launches “Ejar” system in its final form soon

The Ministry of Housing is preparing to launch the "Ejar" system in its final form during the coming period. A number of members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Eastern Chamber were briefed on the features of the system.

In the presence of a number of members of the Chamber of Commerce from various committees, the advisor to the Minister of Housing for the "Ejar" program, Engineer Mohammed Al-Bati, reviewed the most prominent aspects of the system that aims to regulate the rental market in the Kingdom, explaining that "Ejar" was launched about two years ago and subjected to study in preparation for its final implementation and obligating real estate offices across the Kingdom to activate it, revealing that its implementation will be after six months after all its results are submitted to the Cabinet.

After the results are submitted to the Council of Ministers.

He stressed that the system guarantees the rights of the parties to the rental process from the lessor, the tenant and the intermediary by employing an electronic mechanism characterized by its clarity and ease, while activating the electronic contract that guarantees the rights of everyone, noting that the electronic contract will be an executive deed.

He added: "Ejar is an advanced electronic network that provides integrated solutions for the rental housing sector, and puts all parties to the rental process in one virtual place that allows easy search for a housing unit with different specifications and prices, with the possibility of offering units through the owner or the broker representing the real estate office, and regulates the relationship between all parties and preserves the rights of both the tenant, lessor and real estate broker, and the system provides the tenant a credit record (Summa system).
