The Real Estate Authority and the Ministry of Justice announce the restriction of real estate transactions in Riyadh through the Real Estate Registry

The decision includes transferring ownership, sorting, merging, mortgages, and updating deeds digitally, as a prelude to generalizing the experience to the Kingdom's cities later on.

The General Real Estate Authority and the Ministry of Justice announced that the implementation of real estate transactions in the city of Riyadh through the real estate registry, after the completion of the real estate registration work within the urban area of the city, to be announced successively to apply the phase in the rest of the cities of the Kingdom according to the readiness of each city.<This comes within the completion of the real estate registration system in the Kingdom, and an extension of the integration between the relevant government agencies, which contributes to raising the efficiency of procedures, enhancing the reliability of real estate data, and developing digital real estate services in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The implementation of real estate transactions through the Real Estate Registry in Riyadh includes: Transfer of ownership, division and merger, sorting of real estate units, updating deeds, mortgage services, adding restrictions of in-kind rights to real estate documents such as endowment and will, marking deeds with off-plan sale licenses, and other procedures related to the real estate registry.
The Authority and the Ministry of Justice stressed that limiting the implementation of real estate transactions through the real estate registry comes within an organized and integrated transition, taking into account the continuity of services and not affecting the beneficiaries of individuals, establishments and related parties, while fully maintaining the reliability of data and real estate records. The real estate registry is one of the main enablers for the development of the real estate sector by providing a digital registry that enhances the accuracy of real estate information, increases the efficiency of transactions, and supports the investment environment, in accordance with the provisions of the Real Estate Registration System.

The General Authority for Real Estate invited real estate owners in Riyadh to register their properties through the real estate registry platform to benefit from the services associated with the real estate registry and enable them to carry out real estate transactions through approved channels easily and conveniently.
