With confident steps, the Ministry of Housing is moving steadily towards realizing the aspirations of the Saudi people to solve the housing issues that have stumped experts and specialists with their intricate joints and complexities by accurately and correctly diagnosing the root of the housing issue.

Since Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail took the helm of affairs at the Ministry of Housing, he began to gather the parties involved in the housing issue to take their views and recommendations, holding consultative meetings with his ministerial counterparts and meetings with developers and contractors, and also asked all members of the Saudi Engineers Association to submit new proposals through a special electronic portal to solve the crisis, while retaining the moral and material right of the owners of the proposals that are implemented, because he considers engineers an integral part of the real estate sector. Now, during the opening of the Projects Conference, the minister emphasized the need to involve Saudi engineers in housing construction due to the great expertise and rich experiences enjoyed by the Saudi engineer, and this is a recognition from an expert and specialist who came to the ministry from the real estate and finance sector to shorten the time by developing new mechanisms and plans that help the ministry achieve its goals.

As a result of this active movement by the Ministry of Housing, the numbers began to speak when news broke that the Ministry intends to distribute about 100 thousand housing support products in several regions and governorates, according to the mechanism of entitlement and priority, and before it signed an agreement with Korean companies that are famous for rapid construction mechanisms to build 100 thousand housing units in Riyadh within ten years, and the ministry put the national real estate developers in its eyes as the main pillar in the construction and construction processes and concluded contracts and partnerships with them in various regions to contribute to the process of accelerating the housing supply. Finally, the Real Estate Developers Center was launched, which is a real start in the implementation of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 project, which depends on reducing bureaucracy and enhancing partnership and integration between government agencies, and now we are living the experience of how government agencies serve developers and investors to serve citizens through representatives of 12 government agencies, and it is hoped that it will help in the completion of one million housing units until 2020, so this step is a qualitative leap in facilitating and simplifying procedures that met under one roof.

.

Here we must commend the great cooperation by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, which introduced a new mechanism to approve land plans electronically within a period not exceeding 60 days without the need for any paper transactions or correspondence to the secretariats and consulting offices, to provide more residential lands in the shortest possible time.

All these good endeavors should be appreciated, and specialists in the real estate sector should put their hands and ideas with the ministry; because the housing issue, as I mentioned before, is complex and thorny and needs our concerted efforts to reap the fruits of the insightful vision of our wise leadership.

All these good endeavors should be appreciated, and specialists in the real estate sector should put their hands and ideas with the ministry.
