His Highness the Deputy Governor of the Eastern Province pointed out that the adoption of the “Musk Tarout” plan in Darin Island and Tarout represents an important step in the development process in the Qatif Governorate in general and the island in particular, and is the result of the integration of efforts between the relevant authorities, which provides wider opportunities for development and investment, improves the quality of life, and preserves what distinguishes the island in terms of historical and cultural heritage and environmental assets.
The CEO of the Darin and Tarout Island Development Corporation, Engineer Ahmed Salman Al-Badr, explained that the “Musk Tarout” plan serves many of the objectives of the approved development direction for the island, and represents the largest area available for urban development in it, as the area of the plan is about five million square meters, which gives it importance in meeting housing and service needs, and creating new investment opportunities.
Al-Badr explained that the design of the plan takes into account the quality of life objectives, by providing green spaces, sports facilities and necessary services, in order to achieve integration with the urban fabric and natural resources of the island, and to support the creation of an integrated and attractive residential environment that contributes to the sustainability of development in Darin and Tarout islands.
