The real estate development activity for residential buildings using modern construction methods has strengthened its presence in the Saudi market, after the number of its commercial registrations exceeded 43,800 by the end of the third quarter of 2026, recording growth of about 19% during the year, according to data from the Ministry of Commerce .
The "Business Sector for Q3 2026" report showed an increase in the number of commercial registrations to 43,895, compared to 36,850 at the end of Q3 2025, representing an increase of 7,045 registrations. Geographically, the Riyadh region led with approximately 20,230 registrations, followed by the Makkah region with 11,238, while the Eastern Province recorded 4,989 registrations, placing it third.
Madinah came in fourth place with a total of 2,055 records, while the Qassim region came in fifth with about 1,486 commercial records by the end of the third quarter of 2026.
