The Ministry of Housing began last week the handover of the Riyadh Al-Khubara housing project in Al-Qassim, which is part of the 100,000 housing units the Ministry plans to distribute to eligible recipients. In the same context, Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz—Governor of the Eastern Province—and Minister of Housing Majid Al-Hogail inaugurated the Hafar Al-Batin Governorate housing project, and the distribution of its 900 housing units to eligible recipients was announced.
Handover of the Riyadh
Last week, the Ministry of Housing began handing over the Riyadh Al-Khubara Housing Project in Al-Qassim, which is part of the 100,000 housing units the Ministry plans to distribute to eligible recipients.The ministry stated that the project is located on a 103,200-square-meter plot along the Al-Qassim–Madinah Expressway and consists of 92 villas, each with an area of 500 square meters.
The project includes a mosque, as well as a plot of land designated for government facilities covering an area of 6,890 m² and another plot designated for a cultural center covering an area of 2,718 m².
The project also includes all infrastructure facilities, such as a sewage system, an irrigation system, and a fire protection system, in addition to a road network, electricity and telephone networks, and a water treatment plant.
According to data available on «Arqam,» the Saudi Ministry of Housing recently announced that 100,000 housing units will be prepared for allocation and delivery starting in Sha’ban 1437 AH, in monthly phases over the course of a year.
900 families received their housing units
In the same context, His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz —Governor of the Eastern Province—and His Excellency Minister of Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail inaugurated the Hafar Al-Batin Governorate housing project last week, while it was announced that the 900 housing units would be distributed to 900 eligible families who had applied through the «Iskan» housing support portal.
The project is located on a total area of 1,159,958 m², and includes a number of service facilities that meet the needs of residents, such as mosques, schools, health centers, security facilities, recreational centers, and commercial areas, with all infrastructure services—including water, electricity, and telecommunications networks—fully integrated, It features an innovative, model layout that distributes various services and facilities throughout the site, and is one of the Ministry’s projects implemented in the Eastern Province, with each residential unit covering an area of 500 m².

Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud explained that this project is one of the ongoing service projects being implemented in the Eastern Province in pursuit of sustainable development and to meet all the needs of citizens in various fields, in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, «may God protect him,» noting that the Hafar Al-Batin project meets part of the need for housing support at the governorate level, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Housing and its programs aimed at providing suitable housing for all citizens, and extending his congratulations to those eligible under the project.
Meanwhile, His Excellency Minister of Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail affirmed that the project serves 900 families who applied through the «Iskan» housing support portal and met the eligibility and priority criteria. He noted that the project includes sites designated for a range of necessary service facilities and provides integrated infrastructure services, and he expressed his gratitude to the Governor of the Eastern Province for his continued interest in the project’s progress and completion.
Housing Projects in the Eastern Province
He added: »The Hafar Al-Batin project is one of the Ministry’s projects in the Eastern Province and is among various projects in Dammam, Al-Khobar, Al-Ahsa, and Al-Qatif, most of which are nearing completion in preparation for allocation and handover in accordance with established procedures, as was done today with the Hafar Al-Batin housing project. The Ministry’s projects across all regions of the Kingdom will not stop here, but will expand and continue in an effort to provide suitable housing for all citizens—with high quality, diverse options, and affordable prices—as quickly as possible, in implementation of the directives of our leaders—may God protect them—and in line with Saudi Vision 2030, as the Ministry of Housing is working on numerous projects that serve all segments of society. It has also launched—and will continue to launch—a number of pioneering programs and initiatives aimed at stimulating demand and supporting supply, thereby developing and supporting the sector and enabling citizens to own suitable housing.»
100,000 housing units
He noted that earlier this month, the Ministry began allocating 100,000 housing units to eligible recipients across all regions of the Kingdom, including residential units in the form of villas and apartments, as well as land plots, in addition to financing solutions. He emphasized that the ministry will continue to launch more projects and programs to support the sector, which will facilitate access to suitable housing for all segments of society.
