Dr. Bandar Al-Abdulkarim, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, denied that the data of citizens applying for the “Iskan” housing support program “Iskan” had been lost due to a technical glitch in the "Iskan" website’s programming or a cyberattack, emphasizing that all data is stored using state-of-the-art technology and protected by high-quality, secure software, and noting that regular backups are taken.

Al-Abdulkarim noted that the Ministry verifies the information provided by applicants for housing support, which is continuously reviewed and audited, and considers objections raised by some applicants regarding their eligibility, emphasizing that such objections are limited in number.

Last week, some newspapers and websites reported that certain information regarding those eligible for housing support had been lost due to a technical issue on the official website of the Saudi Ministry of Housing, which is responsible for receiving citizens’ applications for home ownership; however, the Ministry has denied this.
