Jazan Contractors Alliance to train 5,000 young Saudis in heavy construction

The Jazan Contractors Alliance for Training and Employment “Maharat” training centers, located in Darb, Abu Arish, and Huqo, managed by a board of directors led by a team of specialists from Saudi Aramco and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, with the participation of eight allied companies, are planning to train 5,000 young Saudis, high school graduates and qualified technical and industrial colleges in the Jazan region, To train 5,000 young Saudis, qualified graduates of high schools and technical and industrial colleges in the Jazan region in specialized construction work in carpentry, rebar installation, plumbing, scaffolding, pipe installation, welding, electrical work, use of measuring devices, load stabilization, operation of cranes and heavy equipment, bear the costs of their training with the support of the Human Resources Fund, and employ them in the construction work of the Jazan Refinery and Fatha after passing the training program. To date, 994 trainees have graduated from the program, and 600 trainees are expected to graduate this year.

The Alliance is intensifying its activities coinciding with the recent opening of the Crane and Heavy Equipment Training Institute, located in Jazan Economic City, where a number of Saudi youth joined the Alliance program. The new Crane and Heavy Equipment Training Institute has a capacity of 1400 trainees annually, and the new institute offers distinctive training in the operation of cranes and heavy equipment, load stabilization, scaffolding, in addition to English language education, mathematics and other various courses.
