In partnership with Credit Bank The Institute of Entrepreneurship implements 2588 projects with more than 519 million riyals

During 2015, the National Entrepreneurship Institute implemented 1,289 projects throughout the Kingdom with the support of the Saudi Credit and Savings Bank, which is a key partner of the Institute, resulting in the implementation of 2,588 diverse projects with a total value exceeding 519 million riyals.

The National Entrepreneurship Institute’s annual report for fiscal year 2015 highlighted the year’s key features and achievements, including the holding of 192 sessions “Start Your Small Business,” attended by more than 3,000 men and women. The three-week course—comprising 60 training hours—helps participants prepare a business plan, understand costs, and address all other project-related matters.

Continuous Development of Small Enterprises

In addition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed with the Japan Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises and Innovation (JASMEI). This memorandum aims to foster joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in order to develop these enterprises and support andthe performance and productivity of small and medium-sized enterprises established through Riyada and the Japanese side. The report also noted that Riyada staff were briefed on the Italian experience in developing small and medium-sized enterprises and explored ways to benefit from it and other experiences. This reflects the National Entrepreneurship Institute’s commitment to continuously developing its programs to empower interested individuals of both genders from our beloved country to engage in self-employment with ease and convenience.

“Define Your Business Idea” Courses

On the other hand, the report mentioned that in 2015, more than 500 courses titled “Define Your Business Idea” were held, aimed at helping those interested in self-employment define their path and direction, familiarize them with the benefits of self-employment, teach them how to identify the right project, and introduce methods for discovering suitable investment opportunities, evaluating them, and identifying entrepreneurial traits. The report stated that more than 8,650 men and women participated in these sessions.
