An engineer specialized in the field of major urban facilities expected that the demand for steel in the second half of this year will continue to be active to reach more than 3.5 million tons of local and imported steel.
Engineer Miteb Fahad Al Tais pointed out that there is an active urban movement, especially in infrastructure after the approval of many projects through the current budget. He pointed out that these investments are expected to exceed 800 thousand billion riyals over the next three years to keep pace with the growing demand for this sector due to population growth. He considered that the state was able to cover the gap between supply and demand through the creation of the Ministry of Housing and legislation and laws such as mortgage and allowing the addition of floors on existing buildings as well as the approval of residential towers.
