The Ministry of Housing is holding intensive discussions to attract most of the international companies specialized in the field of construction in order to accelerate the completion of its projects spread throughout the Kingdom despite its keenness to speed up the solution of the housing crisis in large cities, which requires the completion of more than 200 thousand housing units of various types.
The Ministry of Housing is keen to expand its partnership with the private sector to include international companies specialized in construction.
The ministry's official spokesman, Dr. Bandar Al-Abdulkareem, explained in a statement that the ministry was keen to expand its partnership with the private sector to include specialized international companies that can complete housing projects in large numbers and low cost, and there are now consultations with about 60 international companies, some of which have been signed and others are still being negotiated with, and the aim of expanding this partnership is the ministry's keenness to accelerate the completion of housing projects in large numbers and low cost.
Abdulkareem pointed out that the ministry has started preparing many of the studies and requirements it needs with these companies, as well as designs to implement housing projects, whether on ministry lands or private sector lands, and seeks to set a timetable for signing with international companies and real estate developers, with a commitment to speed and quality together, and we are keen to urge the relevant authorities to accelerate the preparation of their plans in order to provide services that help provide an appropriate life that suits the needs of citizens, noting that the ministry has more than one option to implement housing projects for citizens of various designs, areas and categories
