Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir Region, called on contractors to expedite their work; otherwise, strict measures will be taken and legal consequences will follow,emphasizing the importance of awarding all projects to competent contractors to ensure they are completed on time and to the required quality standards, especially since the Asir Region is preparing to welcome visitors, tourists, and vacationers this coming summer, which compels all of us in this region to adhere to the required quality standards for projects and to deliver them on time.
Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir Region, emphasized the need to recognize the responsibility entrusted to officials—regardless of their position—and to fulfill it to the best of their ability, taking into account quality and timeliness for the well-being of both citizens and tourists.
This came in a press statement by Prince Faisal during his recent inspection and monitoring of work progress and verification of the completion of 13 development projects costing over half a billion riyals, His Highness noted that the projects established in the Asir region were intended to provide a decent standard of living, which is one of the most basic rights of the region’s residents.
His Highness emphasized the importance of the service projects established to serve citizens and ensure their comfort, and to facilitate their livelihoods in various aspects of life, in accordance with the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and His Royal Highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister—may God protect them—which is rooted in the principle of serving the noble citizens of this and that carrying out these projects to the fullest extent, without negligence or dereliction of duty, is a religious and national obligation.
He explained that there have been delays in some projects, but they are on their way to being resolved,calling on contractors to expedite completion; otherwise, decisions will be strict and subject to legal consequences. He emphasized the importance of assigning all projects to competent contractors to ensure they are completed on time and to the required quality, especially since the Asir region is preparing to welcome visitors, tourists, and vacationers this coming summer, which compels all of us in this region to adhere to the required quality standards for these projects and ensure their timely delivery.
The Governor of the Asir Region added, ” We are working in this region for the comfort of everyone, and God willing, these projects will not interfere with the arrival of the summer season, even if there is some congestion; however, over the coming years, they will help improve the infrastructure to meet the needs of the region’s citizens and visitors, His Highness called on visitors and vacationers this year not to complain about the ongoing projects, but to enjoy the atmosphere and be patient, as we are working for their benefit.
