The Ministry of Justice revealed that the work of notaries has started in a phased manner in the issuance and revocation of powers of attorney and the documentation of company incorporation contracts, and directed in a statement circulated to all government departments to review, take note of and work with the instruments issued by notaries and consider them as executive bonds in accordance with the provisions of the execution system and its regulations.
This comes against the backdrop of a previous decision by the Ministry of Justice dated 7/10/1435 AH regarding the regulation of notaries and their work.
This comes against the backdrop of a previous decision of the Minister of Justice dated 7/10/1435 AH regarding the regulation of notaries and their work, which stipulates in the first article of the regulation that the licensed notary shall notarize the following: Sale of real estate, division of movable property, agencies and their dissolution, leasing of real estate and movable property, company contracts, amendment supplements and decisions of the competent persons therein, acts on trademarks, patents and copyrights, contracts on movable property, declaration of bail and fine in addition to the acknowledgment, receipt and waiver of financial amounts.
The notary notarizes contracts and declarations in the sale of real estate, division of movable property, agencies and their dissolution, leasing of real estate and movable property, company contracts, contracts on movable property, acknowledgment, receipt and assignment of money, and dispositions on trademarks. He explained that the ministry aims to implement the notary license initiative to facilitate documentation procedures for citizens and residents. Everyone will be able to notarize outside the official working hours of the notary offices to save time and complete their work anywhere by visiting their nearest notary.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Justice licensed the first batch of notaries 3 months ago with more than 500 notaries out of 2950 applicants, while a justice official said earlier that the ministry is currently working to enroll 700 applicants for training and provide them with expertise; the notary license will allow notaries to conduct real estate sales transactions, document company contracts, and issue powers of attorney during and outside the official working hours.
The notary license will provide notaries with the competencies to conduct real estate sales transactions, document company contracts, and issue agencies during and outside the official working hours.
