Emaar Properties announced the complete sale of the first phase of Urbana homes as part of the first phase of the “Emaar South” project. The townhouses in “Urbana” range in size from 1,205 square feet for two-bedroom units to approximately 1,525 square feet for three-bedroom units, The company has set up a payment plan starting at 10% at the time of purchase and ending at 30% upon the expected delivery date in September 2019. Emaar had launched the “Emaar South” project earlier this month in partnership with “Dubai South.” The project spans 7 square kilometers, is just minutes from Al Maktoum Airport, and features 15,000 homes and an 18-hole golf course.
On a separate note, the total value of sukuk listed by Emaar Properties in Dubai currently stands at $45.55 billion, after the company listed sukuk worth $750 million (equivalent to 2.75 billion dirhams) on Monday on Nasdaq Dubai, part of the Dubai Stock Exchange, which aims to become the world’s largest sukuk listing center. It is worth noting that since the beginning of this year, Nasdaq Dubai has listed 14 sukuk issuances with a total value of $10 billion. Emaar Properties had previously listed US$500 million in sukuk, issued in July 2012, on the exchange.
