The Ministry of Housing has now begun conducting trials to build homes using modern systems and methods in its housing projects; individuals will subsequently be allowed to use them, and the results of all these trials will be announced. Engineer Muhammad Al-Maymouni, General Supervisor of the Follow-up and Technical Support Unit at the Ministry of Housing, said in a press statement that many countries rely on prefabricated homes to avoid rising real estate prices, and from this perspective, the Ministry has focused on monitoring and tracking the latest developments in low-cost construction technologies, while maintaining the other key aspects of the construction process (quality and the time required for implementation), provided that the quality standards guaranteed by the building code are not compromised. He confirmed that the Ministry has recently begun pilot projects to construct residential buildings using certain modern systems and methods, and once approved, their use will be permitted in various housing projects.
