Mr. Abdullah Fahd Al-Ajlan, a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Endowments Committee at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, revealed that the committee will work to encourage the expansion of endowments and to contribute to and coordinate with relevant authorities—primarily the Endowments Authority—to develop legislation that achieves the objectives of the in serving the community and reinforcing the values of Islamic solidarity and service to local communities.
Abdullah Al-Ajlan explained that, following its restructuring under the new Board of Directors, the Endowments Committee will seek to continue the efforts made by previous committees to revive and strengthen endowments and to launch more development projects that serve the community, especially since the sector has the capacity to expand—particularly given its substantial funds—which requires sound management and investment, noting that this will be the committee’s focus in the coming period and will drive it to formulate programs and plans and submit proposals and recommendations that achieve these goals.
He affirmed the committee’s determination to harness all its capabilities to achieve these goals by bringing together experts and those interested in endowment projects to discuss all the obstacles facing the sector and to further revitalize and activate it in a way that fulfills its aspirations.
