The Chairman of the Housing Committee at the Jeddah Chamber, Engineer Khaled Saeed Bashweir, predicted that 2017 will witness a large development and construction movement for the white areas that provide all services within the urban area of 100 million square meters in all parts and neighborhoods of Jeddah, indicating that 25% of this area will be built to avoid paying the prescribed fees on their lands if they are not developed and left as raw lands.
The Chairman of the Housing Committee appreciated the great support that the committee finds from Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah Kamel, Chairman of the Jeddah Chamber and members of the Board of Directors, and the executive leaders of the Chamber, led by the Secretary General in charge, Hassan bin Ibrahim Dahlan, and pointed out that the committee, which is the first to deal with the housing sector at the level of the Kingdom and includes in its membership the heads of major development, financing and consulting companies. The committee will continue to implement its strategic objectives of activating the partnership between the governmental bodies in addition to Following up on the application and development of regulations affecting housing, improving the efficiency of housing production and obtaining high-quality, affordable and low-priced products from developers.
