The Ministry of Justice Puts a Definitive End to the Suffering of 1,500 Shareholders in Al-Mukabbal

The Ministry of Justice, represented by the Real Estate Contributions Department at the General Court in Riyadh, has put an end to the suffering of 1,500 shareholders in the Mutaib Al-Mubarak real estate contributions project, which had been stalled for ten years.

The market value of Al-Mubarak’s share is estimated at 220 (two hundred twenty) million riyals, after it was proven that he owns two-thirds of the disputed land in Medina. The Division found that the previous transfer to his buyer was fictitious, and that two-thirds of the land, praise be to God, satisfies the shareholders" rights.

The ruling issued by the Real Estate Contributions Chamber of the General Court in Riyadh also included the release of the shareholder after he had spent nine years in prison, pursuant to Article (88/1) of the Enforcement Law.

The ruling also referred one of the attorneys to the Ministry’s Lawyers" Disciplinary Committee for violating the ethics of the legal profession under Article (30) of the Law on the Legal Profession, In addition, the ruling granted the Real Estate Contributions Committee at the Ministry of Commerce and Investment the right to sell two-thirds of the land and transfer the shareholders’ rights to them.

This judicial circuit, composed of three appellate judges, is responsible for hearing all cases related to real estate contributions throughout the Kingdom in accordance with the plan, rules, and operating mechanisms issued by the Supreme Judicial Council.
