“Lahbadan” Elected Chair of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce Contractors Committee; Al-Azzawi Elected Vice Chair

During its current 17th session, the Contractors Committee of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce unanimously elected Engineer Saleh bin Habdan Al-Habdan as committee chair and Engineer Muhannad bin Qusay Al-Azzawi as vice chair at its meeting yesterday evening.

For his part, Al-Habdan affirmed following his election that the committee will make every effort to serve the contracting sector, strengthen its role in economic development, and overcome the obstacles it faces, and to build upon the efforts the committee had already made during its previous term (the 16th) to improve and develop the construction business environment.

The committee meeting following the selection of the chairman and vice chairman was attended by the Chamber’s Chairman of the Board, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, who emphasized the importance of the work of sectoral committees—including the Contractors Committee—in serving the business sector, and called on the committees to establish clear strategies and objectives that align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and support its objectives, noting the important role and responsibilities entrusted to the Riyadh Chamber in the coming phase.

He said that the Riyadh Chamber, as an umbrella organization representing the private sector, bears a prominent responsibility in achieving the goals and directions of Vision 2030, which assigns the private sector a key role in implementing its objectives, He emphasized that the Board of Directors attaches great importance to the work of the committees and is committed to providing support, assistance, and backing for their work, including that of the Contractors Committee.
