Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, approved the schedule of fees for municipal services provided by municipal authorities and municipalities. The schedule was adopted based on studies that took into account geographical variations across cities, provinces, and districts.
The Kingdom’s municipal authorities and municipalities have been classified into five categories, and according to this classification, municipal service fees will be applied in accordance with the new regulations, taking into account the minimum fees for each category.
The implementation of certain fees for some other services has been postponed pending a comprehensive study, such as fees for licenses for gas stations located outside urban areas, fees for commercial and residential waste collection, street excavation permits, approval of real estate development plans, and occupancy of hotels, furnished apartments, and resorts.
