Mohammed Al-Madiheim, General Supervisor of the Unregistered Land Program at the Ministry of Housing, revealed that over the past four weeks alone, more than 25 million square meters of unregistered land have been registered.
In remarks to CNBC Arabia, Al-Madiheim explained that demand for registration in the Unregistered Land Program is increasing, noting that 2 million square meters were registered today, and 4 million square meters yesterday, noting that over the remaining 28 days, even more land will be registered than has been so far.
Last June, the Ministry of Housing announced the targeted geographic scope for implementing the first phase of the vacant land fee system in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam, with registration to take place over a period of 6 months.
