Qatari company to build two hotels in Al-Ahsa and Al-Khobar at a cost of SAR 500 million

Sheikh Jassim bin Nasser Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Jazira International Group, signed a contract with Mr. Peter Williams (an Irish company) a contract for the design and construction of a five-star hotel and commercial complex in Al-Ahsa with a total area of 45,000 square meters. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months, He noted that the cost of the two five-star hotels to be built in Al-Ahsa and Al-Khobar amounts to 500 million riyals.
During a recent press conference in Al-Ahsa, Sheikh Jassim stated that the project consists of 200 rooms and suites, a shopping complex built to the highest standards, as well as separate health clubs for men and women, a variety of cafes and restaurants, several banquet and conference halls, a business center, and a swimming pool.
Sheikh Jassim Al Thani noted that this new project joins the series of projects that the Foundation supports and backs. He said: “This hotel falls within the framework of the tourism sector, which is experiencing a major investment boom, especially in the Eastern Province and Al-Ahsa in particular,” explaining that tourism is one of the most promising sectors offering many new opportunities, especially in the hotel industry.
Sheikh Jassim Al Thani noted that this project, to be carried out by the Irish company, will set new standards for hotel tourism services in Al-Ahsa, and explained that the group will launch a project to build a five-star hotel in the Riyadh area across from the Kingdom Tower, as well as another five-star hotel in the Eastern Province (Al-Khobar).
