More than 12 thousand housing units owned by Saudis in Turkey

Fikret Ozar, Turkish Consul General in Saudi Arabia, revealed that Saudis own about 12,000 housing units in Turkey, distributed between apartments and villas, while the number of land owned by Saudis is about 3,000 plots of land.

<Ozar explained that the number of Saudi real estate in Turkey comes in contrast to other real estate investments, where there are wider investments by buying entire buildings and investing in them by selling them as independent housing units. <He said that according to the latest data issued by investment institutions in Turkey, Saudi investors rank second as buyers of real estate in Turkey after Iraqi investors, pointing out that the Saudis have headed during the past years to invest in the promising Turkish real estate sector, amid expectations of growth in their investments in Turkey in addition to Turkish investments in Saudi Arabia during the next phase. He pointed out that Turkey is keen to bring Saudi investments on its territory to more than 25 billion dollars, and Turkey aims to raise trade exchange with Saudi Arabia to 20 billion dollars by 2023, as trade exchange between the two countries reached 7.3 billion dollars in 2013, with Saudi exports to Turkey worth 4.3 billion dollars against imports worth 3.6 billion dollars, adding that the number of Saudi investors in Turkey increased by 40 percent in just two years, bringing the number of Saudi companies invested in Turkey to more than 700 companies currently.

The number of Saudi companies invested in Turkey has risen to more than 700 companies.
