Minister of Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail confirmed that there is a general trend in the Kingdom, especially in cities, to shift to owning apartments, as shown by official statistics that confirm the growing number of sortable housing units in joint construction that are being pumped into the market.
Housing is working on preparing many relevant programs regarding the regulation of facilities management and complexes, considering that the success of the facilities management sector is the success of the Ministry and the housing sector in the Kingdom.

He stressed during a speech he delivered recently at the opening of the first Facilities Management Conference, organized by the Middle East Facility Management Association and held in Riyadh from 23-24 November 2016 at the Rafal Kempinski Tower Hotel, that the ministry supports the supply side and the increase and diversity of housing products to meet the growing demand for housing, which cannot be effective without parallel maintenance of the housing stock and good management of the facilities of residential projects and complexes, as this helps avoid increased demand that may result from the impact of existing housing due to neglect of its maintenance and inefficient management of its facilities.
